Vecic Set to Open ITF Macon 80K Qualifying Rounds

Macon, Ga. — Sophomore Alexandra Vecic is set to open singles action as the No. 5 seed in the ITF Macon 80K qualifying draw on Monday.

Vecic will compete in her fourth ITF tournament this season as the Singen, Germany native will face against Jaeda Daniel in the first round of the qualifying draw.

In singles play, Vecic holds a 6-3 overall record through four competitions while sitting at 3-3 through three ITF tournaments. Vecic is coming off her best ITF tournament performance after winning two matches against Layne Sleeth and Gabriela Lee in the first and second rounds before falling in the quarterfinals.

Vecic, who earned the No. 1 ITA Division I women's tennis newcomer honors prior to the start of the season, has impressed in her first season of action as a Bulldog while already having a singles title to her name after winning her flight bracket at Furman.
