Seventh-ranked Bulldogs to Host No. 6 South Carolina

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 7 University of Georgia equestrian team will host its second fall meet of the season against the sixth-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
The Bulldogs are 1-1 after opening the season with a 13-5 victory over No. 10 UT Martin before dropping a 13-6 decision to fourth-ranked Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. Junior Catalina Peralta earned Most Outstanding Performer honors for her Fences ride against the Aggies with a score of 86.
The Gamecocks are currently 4-0 on the season after topping South Dakota State, 12-8, and Fresno State, 12-4, on Oct. 6.
Georgia and South Carolina met three times last season. The Bulldogs picked up two wins, a 14-6 victory in Bishop and a 15-5 defeat to place third at the SEC Championship. South Carolina took one win off the Bulldogs last season with a 10-9 win in Blythewood, S.C. Georgia leads South Carolina 38-18 in all-time meetings, including a 17-3 record at home.
Fans will be given pink ribbons and pumpkin painting will be available. Admission is free.
