FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Jenny Bae closed out the Mason Rudolph Championships with a 4-under 68 on Sunday to finish as the individual runner-up and lead the Georgia women's golf team to a 10th-place finish at Vanderbilt Legends Club.
Bae completed the 54-hole event at 7-under 209, two shots off the pace of medalist Megan Schofill from Auburn. Caroline Craig also signed for a score in the 60s – a 3-under 69 – for the Bulldogs and vaulted 25 spots on the individual leaderboard in the process.
Bae and Craig sparked Georgia to a 1-under 287 in the final round.
"We had two golfers play really well today, and we were able to shoot under-par as a team, which is something we should be able to do on a golf course like this," head coach Josh Brewer said. "Those were very positive steps, and we will build on those. We'll work hard over the next couple of weeks to get ready to go to Medinah, where we're eager to go and try to defend our title from last year."
Georgia will next complete in the Illini Invitational at historic Medinah Country Club, where the Bulldogs won the team title last season.
In six fall rounds, Bae is a combined 11-under, and she has now posted five par-or-better tallies, including a trio of scores in the 60s. Craig's effort was her second in the 60s this fall.
Céleste Dao and Caterina Don both shot 75 to round out the Bulldogs' counting rounds on Sunday.
Overall, Craig tied for 35th at 222; Jo Hua Hung, who shot 77 in the final round, tied for 41st at 224; and Dao and Don both tied for 59th at 228.
Georgia will return to action in just over two weeks when the Bulldogs compete in the Illni Invitational on October 10-11 at Medinah outside Chicago.
