ATLANTA – The University of Georgia men's swimming and diving team concludes this week with the 2022 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, running Wednesday, March 23 through Saturday, March 26 at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Center.

Live coverage of the NCAA Championships will be available on ESPN3, with prelims starting at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 6 p.m. Live results will be available on the NCAA Championships Central page and to paid subscribers on the MeetMobile app.

Georgia's eight berths are the second-most of any SEC program, trailing Florida with 15 selections. The Bulldogs will also be joined by relay alternates Harrison Wayner and Arie Voloschin. Additionally, all five Bulldog relays will compete in the meet.

Sophomores Luca Urlando and Jake Magahey and freshman Matthew Sates each earned three invitations with top-10 seeds in all nine events. Urlando, who won gold in three events at the SEC Championships and earned Swimmer of the Meet honors, is ranked second in the 200 butterfly, third in the 100 butterfly, and sixth in the 200 IM. Last season, the Sacramento native earned five First Team All-America citations, including a fourth-place finish in the 200 fly.

Magahey returns to defend his NCAA championship in the 500 freestyle, where he is seeded fourth. He is also seeded eighth in the 1,650 freestyle and ninth in the 200 freestyle. Sates, who won two golds at SECs, is the top seed in the 500 freestyle along with a No. 3 seed in the 200 freestyle and No. 6 seed in the 200 butterfly.

Juniors Dillon Downing and Ian Grum both qualified in two events, earning their third-consecutive invitations. Downing is ranked 12th in the 50 freestyle and 23rd in the 100 freestyle, while Grum is seeded 24th in the 400 IM and 25th in the 200 backstroke. Fellow juniors Bradley Dunham (20th, 200 backstroke) and Zach Hils (24th, 200 IM) also earned their second career invitations. Finally, sophomore Wesley Ng earned his first invitation in the 100 backstroke.
