Track Cancels 2022 Spec Towns Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. --- The annual Spec Towns Invitational scheduled for April 7-9 has been canceled because of ongoing construction in the area and other logistical issues, according to an announcement from head coach Caryl Smith Gilbert. Â

The Spec Towns Track located off Lumpkin Street is adjacent to the new football facility being built.  Phase two of the football facility is expected to be completed later this spring. Â

The Bulldogs are scheduled to play host to the annual Torrin Lawrence Memorial at the Spec Towns Track on April 29-30, which is the last regular season outdoor meet before the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships.
