Let's Recap
Georgia fell to Tennessee Friday in a hard fought five set match at Thompson-Boling Arena (15-25, 25-21, 25-15, 23-25, 13-15). Kacie Evans and Sophie Fischer paced Georgia's offense with 18 and 15 kills respectively. At the service line, Georgia laid down 15 aces, setting a new season high and tipping the double-digit mark for the fourth time in 2022. Evans tallied a career-best six while Mackenzie Norris picked up three. Norris has recorded an ace in each of the last 10 matches. Alexa Fortin recorded her second-straight double-double with a team-best 14 digs, dishing out 19 assists. It was her fifth double-double of the season. Norris led Georgia's blocking with six in the match.

Aces Wild
Georgia has consistently had strong serving since Tom Black's arrival in Athens and 2022 has been no difference. Nationally, Georgia's 1.81 aces per set ranks 28th while checking in at second in the SEC. Georgia had a great series at the service line against Auburn, acing the Tigers 21 times in nine sets. Georgia aced the Lady Vols 15 times in five sets on Nov. 11, a seaosn high. Redshirt-sophomore Mackenzie Norris has shined at the service line lately, recording at least one kill in the last 10 matches. Kacie Evans ranks third in the SEC with 0.38 aces per set.

Evans is Killing it
Kacie Evans' 4.07 kills per set ranks 42nd in the country and third in the SEC. She's third in the conference with a 4.82 points per set average, a clip that currently ranks 28th in the country. Evans tallied 20 kills in three sets against each No. 11 Florida and No. 20 Kentucky.

The Great Wall of Fischer
Sophie Fischer has propelled herself toward the top of the country ranking fifth and the top of the SEC with 1.51 blocks per set. Her 145 total blocks also leads the SEC. As a team, Georgia's 2.64 blocks per set ranks third in the SEC. Georgia's block defense has helped hold opponents to a .186 hitting clip, second best in the league. Offensively, Fischer's .339 hitting percentage is seventh in the SEC.
