Bulldogs Open Hogan Invitational In 12th

FORT WORTH, Texas --- The Georgia men's golf team stands 12th after two rounds of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.
Playing Colonial Country Club's par-70, 7,204-yard layout, the Bulldogs had Monday loops of 10-over 290 and 1-over 281 for a total of 11-over 571. North Carolina holds the team lead at 10-under 550, followed by Stanford at 6-under 554 and Arizona State at 3-under 557.
Junior Caleb Manuel and sophomore Maxwell Ford paced the Bulldogs in the opening round as each shot a 2-over 72. Seniors Nicolas Cassidy and Connor Creasy added 3-over 73s, while senior Ben van Wyk had Georgia's non-counting round of 4-over 74.
In the second round, Cassidy signed for a 2-under 68, followed by van Wyk at even-par 70, Manuel at 1-over 71, and Ford at 2-over 72. Creasy had the non-counting loop of 4-over 74.
Cassidy stands 23rd individually at 1-over 141, seven shy of Georgia Tech's Bartley Forrester (6-under 134). Manuel is 35th at 3-over 143, Ford and van Wyk are 42nd at 4-over 144, and Creasy is 68th at 7-over 147.
The Bulldogs will return to the course on Tuesday for the final round.
