The Georgia Bulldogs travel to Columbia, Missouri for a two-match series this week beginning Friday at Hearnes Center. First serve Friday and Saturday is set for 2 p.m., ET.

First serve against the Wildcats is slated for 7 p.m. The Arkansas Razorbacks trek to Athens the following Sunday, Nov. 6 for a clash on SEC Network. First serve is set for 4 p.m. against Arkansas. 
 
Let's Recap
The Georgia Bulldogs wrapped up a 3-0 week with wins over No. 11 Florida and Alabama last week. Coming off a thrilling sweep of the Gators, Georgia returned to Stegeman to host Alabama in a two-match series over the weekend. The Bulldogs went up 2-0 on Alabama in Saturday match but the Tide battled back to force a fifth set. Georgia was able to fend off the rising Tide, winning set five 18-16 and the five-set match. The Bulldogs earned their first home sweep of the Conference season on Sunday, taking down Alabama in three sets. Georgia improved its home SEC record to 5-0 with the victory. 
 
Fischer Earns Third SEC Weekly Award
Sophie Fisher was named the SEC Player of the Week for the second time this season on Oct. 24. This is Fischer's third time earning Defensive Player of the Week (Aug. 29, Oct. 3, Oct. 24) and the second time she's been named the overall SEC Player of the Week (Aug. 29, Oct. 24). Fischer, put up 22 blocks in a trio wins over Florida and Alabama, averaging 2.00 per set. She put up nine blocks in the sweep of Florida, helping the Bulldogs defense hold the Gators to a .090 hitting percentage. Her nine blocks were second-most by a Bulldog in three sets in the rally scoring era. She added eight blocks against Alabama in a five-set thriller then five in a sweep of the Tide. Offensively, Fischer put up 30 kills against Alabama including tying a career-best 18 in the first match. Her 12 kills in the final matchup came on a .450 hitting clip. 
 
History in Gainesville (Again)
Georgia earned a three-set sweep of the 11th-ranked Florida Gators Wednesday, Oct. 19 on the road. It was the fourth win over a ranked opponent under head coach Tom Black, the last against then-No. 5 Florida on Nov. 20, 2020. It was the first time Georgia had swept a ranked opponent since Nov. 27, 1993 (No. 12 Kentucky in the SEC Tournament in Birmingham). It was Georgia's first sweep of Florida since Oct. 20, 1989. 
 
Aces Wild
Georgia has consistently had strong serving since Tom Black's arrival in Athens and 2022 has been no difference. Nationally, Georgia's 1.82 aces per set ranks 29th while checking in at second in the SEC. Georgia had a great series at the service line against Auburn, acing the Tigers 21 times in nine sets. Individually, Kacie Evans (0.39 aces/set) ranks third in the SEC. 
 
Evans is Killing it
Kacie Evans' 3.96 kills per set ranks 49th in the country and third in the SEC. She's third in the conference with a 4.75 points per set average, a clip that currently ranks 26th in the country. 
 
The Great Wall of Fischer
Sophie Fischer has propelled herself toward the top of the country ranking seventh and the top of the SEC with 1.51 blocks per set. Her 113 total blocks also leads the SEC. As a team, Georgia's 2.55 blocks per set ranks fourth in the SEC. Georgia's block defense has helped hold opponents to a .181 hitting clip, third best in the league. Offensively, Fischer's .339 hitting percentage is fifth in the SEC.
