Georgia Equestrian Releases 2021-22 Schedule

ATHENS, Ga. --- The defending national champion Georgia equestrian team takes on another competitive schedule in 2021-22, head coach Meghan Boenig announced Monday.
Following the annual Red and Black Scrimmage (Sept. 17), Georgia kicks off the regular season with a road meet at Auburn, October 8.
The squad returns home to face Fresno State on October 22 before heading back on the road for two meets. The Bulldogs will travel to Texas to compete against Texas A&M (Oct. 29) and SMU (Oct. 30). The fall portion of the schedule concludes with a meet against South Carolina at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop on November 13.
The 2022 portion kicks off with a Jumping Seat competition against Sweet Briar on the road, marking the first time the Bulldogs will travel to Virginia to take on the Vixens (Feb. 4). Next, the Aggies of Texas A&M come to town with a meet scheduled for February 12.
Three-straight contests on the road have Georgia facing South Dakota State, University of Minnesota Crookston, and South Carolina. Making the trip to Brookings, S.D., Georgia will face the Jackrabbits on February 18 before taking on the Golden Eagles the following day. The Bulldogs and Gamecocks go head-to-head in Blythewood, S.C February 26.
Georgia will conclude the regular season with back-to-back home meets. The Bulldogs face the Tigers of Auburn on March 4 because hosting UT Martin on March 5.
The 2022 SEC Championship is set for March 25-26 in Auburn, Alabama, and will be hosted by Auburn. The 2022 NCEA Championship will be held in Ocala, Florida for the first time, April 15-17.
