No. 3 Bulldogs Win Over No. 23 Wildcats, 4-0

Lexington, Ky. – The No. 3 Georgia women's tennis team completed their fifth 4-0 sweep of the season defeating No. 23 Kentucky to improve to 11-1 on the season, 7-0 in conference play and 6-1 against opponents ranked in the top-25.
The match was highlighted with the No. 4 duo of senior Katarina Jokic and freshman Ariana Arseneault defeating No. 6 Akvile Parazinskaite and Fiona Arrese 6-3 on court one, improving to 3-0 on the season against opponents ranked in the top-10. Junior Meg Kowalski and sophomore Lea Ma clinched the Bulldogs' twelfth-straight doubles point against Lesedi Jacobs and Anastasia Tkachenko 6-2 on court two. Junior Morgan Coppoc and graduate Elena Christofi went unfinished in their match.
In singles, No. 1 Jokic became the second Bulldog this season to defeat her opponent in straight sets without losing a game, defeating No. 42 Akvile Parazinskaite 6-0, 6-0 on court one. No. 45 Ma was right behind Jokic, finishing off Charlota Molina 6-1, 6-3 on court two. No. 73 Coppoc clinched the match and pushed her win streak to seven out of the Bulldogs' last nine matches, defeating Elizabeth Stevens 6-3, 6-2 on court four. No. 13 Kowalski, No. 104 Gonzalez and Christofi all went unfinsihed in their matches.
The Bulldogs will conclude their road trip against No. 16 Vanderbilt on Sunday, March 28 with first serve set for 3 p.m.
