GREENSBORO, N.C. – With six All-America citations, the University of Georgia women's swimming and diving team continued competition Friday at the 2021 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Senior Courtney Harnish increased her career All-America total to 15 citations with a pair of top-16 finishes Friday evening. In the 200 freestyle, Harnish placed eighth with a time of 1:45.52. She would later go on to swim the butterfly leg of the 14th-place 200 medley relay, joining seniors Gabi Fa'amausili and Danielle Della Torre and freshman Maxine Parker in earning Second Team honors with a time of 1:36.92. Fa'amausili opened the race with a season-best 50 backstroke split of 24.34.

Sophomore Zoie Hartman also continued her outstanding meet with a sixth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, posting a time of 58.25. Hartman remained in contention for much of the race before falling behind victorious Sophie Hansson of NC State.

In the 100 breaststroke prelims, Della Torre just missed out on the consolation final with a 17th-place time of 59.25. Junior Dakota Luther also reached first alternate status with a season-best time of 52.19 in the 100 butterfly.
