Georgia Resumes Season Against Kennesaw State Thursday

ATHENS, Ga. --- After a three-month break from competition, the University of Georgia soccer team will resume its 2020-21 campaign on Thursday, February 25 with a home matchup against Kennesaw State. The game is set for 7 p.m. at the Turner Soccer Complex.
Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, no fans will be permitted to the Turner Soccer Complex. Guests will be permitted through a "Player Pass List" only. The game will be streamed on the SEC Network +.
This marks the fourth time in program history that the Bulldogs will face the Owls. Georgia holds a 2-1 record against KSU with both wins coming at home. The last time the teams met was in 2018 with Georgia dropping a 2-1 decision to Kennesaw on their home field.
Facing solely SEC opposition, Georgia finished the fall 2020 season with a 2-4-2 record. The Bulldogs started the season 2-0-2, which marked the best start to SEC play since 2010. Georgia spent five weeks in the United Soccer Coaches Poll Rankings. The team was ranked eighth in the initial rankings, which marked the first time the program had been ranked since 2014. Georgia ended the fall with a loss to Auburn in the SEC Tournament.
