Games against Tech, Memphis to appear on SEC Network

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia's games against Georgia Tech and Memphis will be televised on the SEC Network, and the Bulldogs' game times for remaining non-conference home dates have been set.

The Bulldogs and Tech will meet at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 and will take on Memphis at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7:15 p.m. Both games will air on the SEC Network.

Georgia's other nine home outings will be available on SEC Network + in HD quality.

Eight outings all will tip at 7:00 p.m. That includes an exhibition against Morehouse on Friday, Nov. 5 and regular-season contests versus FIU on Tuesday, Nov. 9; S.C. State on Tuesday, Nov. 16; Jacksonville on Tuesday, Dec. 7; George Mason on Saturday, Dec. 18; Western Carolina on Monday, Dec. 20; East Tennessee State on Wednesday, Dec. 22; and Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Rounding out the slate is a 4:00 p.m. matchup with Wofford on Sunday, Nov. 28.

With that, all but three of the Bulldogs' game times are now set. Still to be determined are Georgia's games at Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 13; versus Vanderbilt in Athens on Saturday, Jan. 15; and against Florida in Athens on Saturday, Feb. 26. The contest between the Bulldogs and Gators will begin at either noon or 4:00 p.m.

Head coach Tom Crean enters his fourth season in Athens just three victories shy of his 400th career win. Crean earned 190 wins in nine seasons at Marquette from 1999-2008, a span that featured eight postseason appearances headlined by a trip to the 2003 NCAA Final Four. He then won 166 outings in nine campaigns at Indiana from 2008-17, leading the Hoosiers to four NCAA Tournaments and two Big Ten Championships.

Under Crean, Georgia has emerged as one of the SEC's most explosive offenses while also drawing record-breaking attendance figures.

Last season, the Bulldogs averaged averaged 77.5 points per game, their second-highest offensive output in the 2000s and the most since the 2002-03 campaign. In addition, Georgia has reached the 90-point scoring plateau 15 times in 90 games under Crean. The Bulldogs did so 15 times in 387 games before Crean's arrival, a span that dates back to the 2006-07 season.

Georgia broke its all-time total attendance record at Stegeman Coliseum in each of Crean's first two seasons before limited seating was required last winter due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two seasons ago, the Bulldogs' averaged 9,651 fans per game, the second highest in school history, and hosted a school-record 11 crowds of 10,000-plus.

This season, the Bulldogs' roster features 10 newcomers, many with considerable collegiate experience. Georgia's first-year players include five Division I transfers, two junior college transfers and three freshmen. The Bulldogs' seven transfers have combined to score 4,782 points at their previous schools, the largest influx of scoring production any D-I team will welcome for the 2021-22 season. Florida is second with 4,144 previous points joining the Gators.

Graduate transfer P.J. Horne headlines Georgia's five returning letterwinners. Horne was one of two Bulldogs to start every game last season and averaged 8.5 points per game while connecting on a team-high 46 3-pointers.

Season tickets for Georgia's 19-game home schedule are now on sale with more information available here.
