Blumer Named NCEA Reining Rider of the Month

ATHENS, Ga. --- Sophomore rider Courtney Blumer of the University of Georgia equestrian team has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Reining Rider of the Month for March, the selection committee announced Thursday.
In Georgia's final competition of the season, the Monroe, North Carolina product earned the high score in Reining and defeated her opponent by one point to win Most Outstanding Performance honors on the road at TCU.
The MOP honor marked the first of Blumer's career. She ended the season with a 6-6 record in Reining and scored the highest among Bulldogs this season, reaching a 74 twice- against Delaware State and at TCU. Her six wins this season is tied for second highest on the team for Reining.
