Bulldogs Remain Sixth In Nike Golf Invitational

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. --- The No. 20-ranked Georgia men's golf team remained in sixth place following the second round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational on Monday.

Playing Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club's Witch Hollow par-71, 6,997-yard layout, the Bulldogs posted a 2-under 282 to move to 6-under 562 for the tournament. Oklahoma has the team lead at 31-under 537, followed by Wake Forest at 16-under 552, Clemson at 14-under 554, and Oklahoma State at 10-under 558.

Junior Davis Thompson led the Bulldogs in the second round as he signed for a 5-under 66. Sophomore Trent Phillips added a 4-under 67, followed by freshman Connor Creasy at 3-over 74, and senior Spencer Ralston at 4-over 75. Senior Calum Masters had the Bulldogs' drop score of 5-over 76.

Thompson stayed in second individually at 9-under 133, just one shy of Logan McAllister of Oklahoma, while Phillips is fourth at 8-under 134. Ralston is at 5-over 147, followed by Creasy at 6-over 148, and Masters at 9-over 151.

The Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational will conclude on Tuesday. Georgia will be paired with Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt and will tee off between 11:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
