ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia soccer team will face two in-state rivals this weekend. First the Bulldogs welcome the Eagles of Georgia Southern to the Turner Soccer Complex on Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m., before making the trip to Atlanta to face the Panthers of Georgia State on Sunday, September 15, also at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs are undefeated against both opponents in program history. The Bulldogs last played the Eagles in 2005, but defeated the Panthers last season at home in Athens. Â

Caroline Chipman is the UGA Athletic Association's female winner of the 2019-20 Joel Eaves Award. The award is presented to the male and female student-athletes with the highest GPA upon entering the fall semester of his or her senior year, based upon academic hours rather than eligibility. Additionally, a student-athlete must have earned at least two varsity letters to be eligible for the award. She is the second soccer player in program history to win the award.Â
