Soccer Hosts Red and Black Scrimmage Saturday

ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia fans can get their first look at the 2019 soccer team Saturday when the Bulldogs host a Red and Black Scrimmage.
The match will be held at the Turner Soccer Complex with kickoff slated for 11 a.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
"We have had a great first week of preseason," head coach Billy Lesesne said. "This is a young team that has been growing over the last year or two and we're finally starting to see them do the small details and really hone in on some of those finer things that we've been looking for. The defensive side of the ball is where we're approaching now. The lines are coming together as we defend as a unit. All of this has been working toward what we'll see at the Red and Black Scrimmage. We are going to divide the team up and let them play 90 minutes against each other. It should be a lot of fun."
Georgia's leading scorers, junior Reagan Glisson and sophomore Abby Boyan, will be on the Red team along with sophomore Cecily Stoute, who led the Bulldogs in minutes played last season.
The Black team features juniors Katie Ralys, Kayla Bruster, and Caroline Chipman, as well as sophomore Emory Wegener in goal.
