DiCarlo Earns NFCA All-America Distinction

OKLAHOMA CITY – University of Georgia softball student-athlete Alyssa DiCarlo has earned NFCA Third Team All-America status, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Wednesday. 
 
DiCarlo becomes a two-time All-American after earning third team status as a junior in 2018. In 2019, DiCarlo was a top 10 finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, First Team All-SEC, and NFCA First Team All-Region honors. 
 
In her senior season, DiCarlo concluded her career in the Red and Black with a .381 batting average with 23 home runs while driving in 58 runs, putting an .899 slugging percentage together with a .470 on-base clip. Her 23 home runs finish fourth in the country and third in the SEC. She finished top 10 in NCAA in home runs, home runs per game (0.38), slugging percentage, and total bases (151). Her 0.84 walks per game concluded 11thin the nation. 
 
The Glendale, Arizona native rewrote the Georgia record books, setting new career marks for home runs (68), RBI (252), total bases (544), and extra-base hits (128). She was a .378 career hitter, finishing sixth all-time at UGA, with 275 career hits. She finished top 10 at Georgia in 14 total statistical categories. 
 
In the SEC, DiCarlo's 68 home runs finished second all-time, just three off Lauren Haeger's (Florida) record of 71. Her 252 RBI finished fifth all-time in the league. 
 
DiCarlo was drafted as the fourth-overall pick of the National Pro Fastpitch Draft on Apr. 15 by the Chicago Bandits. She officially signed a one-year contract Tuesday, Apr. 28 to begin her professional career.
