Bulldogs Open PC Series Friday At 3 P.M.

ATHENS-----Ninth-ranked Georgia opens a three-game series with Presbyterian College Friday at Foley Field with first pitch now slated for 3:02 p.m. The entire series will be streamed on SEC Network Plus via WatchESPN app and broadcast on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network.
The opening game of the PC series has a new start time of 3:02 p.m. Friday due to rain in the forecast. To date, Georgia has been forced to play doubleheaders to complete all three of its weekend series, with the first two in Athens and then last week in Statesboro.
The Bulldogs (11-2) are batting .294 with a .414 on base percentage and a 2.61 ERA. Georgia's starting pitchers are a combined 10-1 with a 1.77 ERA this season. Presbyterian arrives in town with a 6-6 mark, averaging 5.2 runs a game with a .281 batting average and a 4.92 ERA. The Blue Hose opened the season with a three-game series at Alabama and went 1-2.
Georgia won a pair of midweek games, defeating Alabama State and Jacksonville State while Presbyterian claimed home victories over N.C. Central and Wofford. Presbyterian won the first four meetings with Georgia in 1943 (two in Athens, two in Clinton, S.C.) and since then the Bulldogs have won 15 straight in Athens. The last three-game series came in Athens in 2012 and then there have been single games in 2013-14-15-17.
Georgia's rotation for the PC series will feature a trio of right-handers in sophomore Emerson Hancock (3-0, 0.50 ERA), freshman Cole Wilcox (0-0, 9.00 ERA) and junior Tony Locey (2-0, 3.00 ERA). Junior right-hander Will Proctor (2-0, 4.00 ERA), who has made a pair of starts this year but missed last weekend's series at Ga. Southern, will be available out of the bullpen against PC. Hancock has allowed just one run in 18 innings this year while holding opponents to a .131 average. The Blue Hose rotation will consist of junior right-hander Eric Miles (1-0, 2.38 ERA), junior left-hander Jake Rice (1-1, 7.11 ERA) and sophomore right-hander Reagan Fowler (0-2, 5.74 ERA).
In the national polls, Georgia remained No. 9 in the D1Baseball.comtop 25 and No. 15 by Baseball America. Also, the Bulldogs are ranked No. 10 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), No. 15 by Collegiate Baseballand No. 15 in the USA Today/CoachesTop 25.

Foley Field Follows SEC's Clear Bag Policy
In order to enhance safety and expedite fan entry at Georgia athletic events, UGA follows the SEC's Clear Bag Policy at Foley Field and all other athletic facilities. Only one clear bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches (gallon size) per person is permitted. Fans are also allowed a small clutch purse not exceeding 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Also, Seat cushions/backs should be no bigger than 16 inches and have no arms or pockets.
