Senior Spotlight: Jessica Blum

Senior Hunter Seat rider Jessica Blum is from Stouffville, Ontario, and will be graduating in May with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Blum enjoys spending time with friends, hiking and the outdoors, and has no shame in binge-watching Grey's Anatomy. Check out her Q&A…
Favorite memory at the University of Georgia.
"Watching the Dawgs win the 2017 SEC Championship."
Go-to spot in Athens.
"Donna Changs. Nothing beats their low mien."
What is your favorite memory with UGA equestrian?
"Time spent with my friends. Doesn't matter if it's at 6:00am workouts, or late meetings. Anytime spent with my friends and teammates is the best."
First thing you are doing after graduation?
"Relaxing and taking a well-deserved vacation."
If you could play any other sport what would it be and why?
"Track. I ran track in high school and loved the sport, but I had to pick between riding and running and riding won."
Starbucks coffee order:
"I used to be a Starbucks chai tea latte fan, but after coming to Athens Jittery Joes chai tea latte's stole my heart."
What is your biggest pet peeve?
"People who make a lot of noise in class. Like smacking their gum or talking."
What is your guilty pleasure (TV show) that you like to watch?
"I love Grey's Anatomy (I've watched it 3 times)."
Best advice you were given as a freshman.
"That it gets better. As a freshman it's hard being thrown into a new school and a new team. But someone told me to push through because it will get better, and they were right."
