ORANGE BEACH, Ala. --- The University of Georgia soccer team is set for the 2019 Southeastern Conference tournament as the six seed and will take on nationally ranked and third seed South Carolina in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 5 at 2:30 CT at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

GEORGIA IN THE SEC TOURNAMENT
The Bulldogs are making their second trip to the SEC Tournament under head coach Billy Lesesne and 18th overall appearance. Georgia's record in the conference tournament is 11-17-1, with three trips to the finals - most recently in 2008.

In 2015, a late Georgia comeback fell short as the Bulldogs lost to Vanderbilt, 2-1, in the first round of the SEC Soccer Tournament.

This is the first trip to the SEC Tournament for all of the Bulldogs on Georgia's roster.

PREVIOUS MATCHUP AGAINST THE GAMECOCKS
Georgia opened SEC play falling in a tough battle to then-No. 9 South Carolina, 3-0, at Stone Stadium in Columbia.

Despite the Bulldogs' nine shots to the Gamecocks' 10, only two were on frame for Georgia.

Georgia was able to force seven corner kicks on the night compared to South Carolina's two.

BRUSTER, CHAPMAN EARN ALL-SEC HONORS
Junior defender Kayla Bruster and freshman forward Chloe Chapman have garnered All-Southeastern Conference accolades.

Bruster is a first team All-SEC at-large selection and Chapman earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team.

As a defender, Bruster played a pivotal role in the Bulldogs' seven shutouts and five- game unbeaten streak to end the regular season. The Atlanta native logged 1386 minutes as a starter in 16 games, 10 of which she played to full time.  She also took three shots on the season.

Chapman earned the honors after leading the Bulldogs with six goals as a rookie. The Mitchellville, Maryland native was named SEC Freshman of the Week after scoring two goals on the road at Missouri. She also notched Georgia's lone goal in a draw at then-No. 6 Arkansas. Chapman attempted 23 total shots with 13 on target and will take the court with the Lady Bulldogs basketball team this season as well.

HALEY SORRELL NAMED SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
After scoring the lone goal in a win over Florida, Georgia forward Haley Sorrell has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week to conclude the regular season.

The Bulldogs and Gators remained scoreless in the Halloween match until 90 seconds left in the game when Sorrell booted the ball to the back right corner of the net off an assist from sophomore midfielder Abby Boyan for the game-winner.

The win snapped a 12-game losing streak against the Gators, dating back to 2008 and punched the team's ticket to the 2019 Southeastern Conference Tournament in Orange Beach, Alabama.

BEATING THE GATORS
For only the third time in program history, the University of Georgia soccer team defeated the Florida Gators with a thrilling 1-0 finish in the final minutes of the game on a cold Halloween night at the Turner Soccer Complex.

The Bulldogs snapped a 12-game losing streak with the first win over the Gators since 2008 and punched its ticket to the 2019 Southeastern Conference Tournament in Orange Beach, Alabama. It's also the first and only game this season the Bulldogs have won despite being outshot.

FIVE- GAME UNBEATEN STREAK
Georgia extended its unbeaten streak to five games with win over Florida. a 1-1 double overtime draw at No. 6 Arkansas at Razorback.

Georgia defeated Ole Miss and Mississippi State, before playing to a tie against Kentucky and No. 6 Arkansas, and finishing the season against Florida. The five-game unbeaten streak is the most under head coach Billy Lesesne. It's the longest the Bulldogs have gone without a loss since 2013 and the longest unbeaten streak in SEC action since 2011.
