Georgia Punches Ticket to Orange Beach, Seeded Sixth

SEC TOURNAMENT BRACKET

ATHENS, Ga. ---
After concluding regular season action on a five-game unbeaten streak, the University of Georgia soccer team punched its ticket as the sixth seed in the 2019 Southeastern Conference Tournament in Orange Beach, Alabama. 
 
As the sixth seed, the Bulldogs (8-6-4, 4-3-3 SEC) will receive a first round bye into Tuesday's quarterfinals round. Georgia will meet the three-seed South Carolina on November 5 at 2:30 CT on the SEC Network. The No. 7-10 seeds will play their first round games on Sunday to kick off the action. 
 
The Bulldogs are making their second trip to the SEC Tournament under head coach Billy Lesesne and 18th overall appearance. Georgia's record in the conference tournament is 11-17-1, with three trips to the finals - most recently in 2008.
 
The tournament will run from Sunday, November 3 through Sunday, November 10 with games being played in a Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday- Sunday format. 
 
The winner of the conference tournament secures an automatic bid into the NCAA Championships. The NCAA Selection Show is set for Monday, November 11.
