GAME NOTES
ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia soccer (4-3-2, 1-0 SEC) continues Southeastern Conference action at home against Missouri on Thursday, September 20, before traveling to College Station for its first SEC road contest against No. 2 Texas A&M on Sunday, September 23. Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EST.

Earlier this week, freshman goalkeeper Emory Wegener was named SEC Freshman of the week after Georgia defeated Arkansas, 3-1, in the SEC opener. The Johns Creek native registered five saves in her first conference game as a Bulldog and was a few minutes shy of a shutout due to a penalty kick opportunity. She has started all nine games for Georgia, leads the SEC with 44 saves and has earned three shutouts.Â

The Tigers are on a four game winning streak against the Bulldogs.Â

The Aggies have won the last two contests against the Bulldogs. Georgia's last win over Texas A&M came in 2015 when the Bulldogs upset the fourth-ranked Aggies 2-1 in Athens, marking Lesesne's first SEC win as head coach.

For the first time since 2013, Georgia opened Southeastern Conference action with a victory after defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks, 3-1, on Thursday night at the Turner Soccer Complex.

Sophomores Reagan Glisson and Katie Higgins, as well as freshman Abby Boyan contributed goals for the Bulldogs in the first conference win of their careers at Georgia.

The Bulldogs came out ready to fight with Glisson firing two shots in the first five minutes of the game. Quick hands and a stout Razorback defense prevented both goals.
