ATHENS, Ga. — Season tickets for Georgia's games at Stegeman Coliseum during the 2018-19 campaign are now on sale. The Bulldogs will host 17 opponents from November-March, including 10 foes who reached postseason play last season.
Georgia's non-conference slate was announced last month. The Bulldogs' SEC schedule will be released later in August; however, the league office has determined the home and road game sites for UGA's 18 league contests.
The first game of head coach Tom Crean's tenure at Georgia will be on Friday, November 9 when the Bulldogs host Savannah State. The Bulldogs' matchups against 2018 postseason participants includes NCAA qualifiers Arizona State (Dec. 15), Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas (Jan. 26) and Texas Southern (Dec. 3). Georgia also will host NIT participants LSU and Mississippi State and CIT semifinalist Texas Southern.
There are two methods of purchasing season tickets, renewable seats via a donation to the Basketball Enhancement Fund (BEF) and non-renewable. Renewable seats are available with a minimum donation to the BEF of $150 per seat and benefits also include possibility for game day parking and hospitality, postseason ticket request opportunities and invitations to watch a team practice and to the postseason banquet. Fans who are renewing or interested in making new contributions in support of Georgia Basketball can visit here on georgiadogs.com or contact The Georgia Bulldog Club by phone at 877-423-2947.
Non-renewable tickets are filled following the placement of all seat locations for renewable season tickets. Fans interested in purchasing these season tickets can do so online here or by calling the UGA ticket office at 877-542-1231.
To date, the current BEF campaign has already established record numbers. Much of that can be credited to the excitement created by new head coach Tom Crean, who averaged 20 wins over 18 combined seasons as head coach at Marquette and Indiana. Crean's teams have reached postseason play 13 times, including nine NCAA Tournament bids and an appearance in the 2003 Final Four.
Crean's initial squad at Georgia will feature a mix of experience and youth. The Bulldogs feature three returning starters – seniors William "Turtle" Jackson and Derek Ogbeide and sophomore Rayshaun Hammonds – and 11 total letterwinners. Six of those additional letterwinners – seniors Mike Edwards and E'Torrion Wilridge, juniors Tyree Crump and Jordan Harris and sophomores Nicolas Claxton and Teshaun Hightower – have SEC starting experience. Crean also will welcome a quartet of four freshman, in-state prospects Tye Fagan, JoJo Toppin and Amanze Ngumezi, and Lithuanian Ignas Sargiunas.
