Kyprianou's Comments: "This is our last meet before the (Southeastern Conference) Championships and the long-awaited postseason so our main goal remains the same," said Bulldog head coach Petros Kyprianou. "We have to find ways to acquire some more NCAA qualifiers to help us elevate the team's chances for a great NCAA meet. Having the majority of the team at Clemson for the third time this season gives us a familiarity advantage to get another shot in improving our status on the NCAA list. It is time for us to get healthy and happy for the fun part of the season.
"As injuries continue to be a major issue for our sport, we try to rely on our student-athletes' competitiveness and perseverance when the postseason comes. We must fight through and give 100 percent of our bodies and souls. This is a very talented team that is hungry. We have been talking about how close we came last year. We have the pieces to put it together, especially if we control well what we can control well.
"I'm looking forward to some good performances from the elite distance crew flying to Ames to take advantage of the oversized track. All in all, we must master the art of doing simple things extraordinarily well. It is a lot harder than it sounds but it is the solid and desired foundation in finding our greatness. Once again, we will rely on the team's strong leadership in coming together stronger than ever. Excitement is contagious and we must continue spreading it. GO Dawgs!"
