Bulldogs Perfect in Doubles to Finish GT Fall Invite

ATLANTA - A 3-0 record in doubles coupled with two singles wins brought to a close the 2018 Georgia Tech Fall Invitational for the Georgia men's tennis team on Sunday.
The Bulldogs were perfect on the doubles courts to wrap up consolation play at the Byers Tennis Complex with Alex Diaz/Robert Loeb, Blake Croyder/Alex Phillips and Britton Johnston/Sam Dromsky finishing strong on the final day of the event.
Diaz and Loeb battled past Georgia Tech's tandem of Zummy Bauer and Phillip Gresk, 8-6, while Croyder and Phillips crushed to an 8-5 win against their Georgia State counterparts. Johnston and Dromsky then put the finishing touches on Georgia's perfect day in doubles with an 8-5 victory against Vikram Chari and Alex Ross from Vanderbilt.
Georgia also finished on a high note on the singles courts with Croyder and Dromsky winning their consolation matches. Croyder ousted Jack Lee from Vanderbilt, 6-3, 6-1, while Dromsky used three sets to get by Vandy's Adam Sraberg, 6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-1.
The Bulldogs will now wrap up fall competition next weekend as seniors Emil Reinberg and Jan Zielinski head to the ITA Fall Championships in Surprise, Arizona on Nov. 7-11.
