Ralston Second, Bulldogs Ninth In Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa --- The No. 25-ranked Georgia men's golf team stands ninth after one round of the Golfweek Collegiate Challenge.
 
On Sunday at Cedar Rapids Country Club, the Bulldogs fired a 4-over-par 292. North Carolina State grabbed the first-round lead at 14-under 274, followed by Iowa at 5-under 283 and UNC-Wilmington at 3-under 285.
 
Sophomore Spencer Ralston paced the Bulldogs on Sunday as he fired a 5-under 67.  Ralston stands second individually, one shot shy of North Carolina State's Stephen Franken (66).
 
Sophomore Trevor Phillips, a late addition to the Bulldogs' lineup, signed for an even-par 72, while senior Zach Healy posted a 4-over 76 and junior Jack Larkin Jr. recorded a 5-over 77. Freshman John Hilliard Catanzaro had the Bulldogs' non-counting score of 6-over 78.
 
The Golfweek Collegiate Challenge will continue on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday. Live results and tee times can be found here. The Bulldogs will tee off in 10-minute increments starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday and will be paired with Southern Illinois and Eastern Michigan.
