ATLANTA, Ga. ---- The Georgia Bulldogs dropped a 6-1 contest to the Missouri Tigers in the rubber match Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 33,025, the second-largest in NCAA baseball history, at SunTrust Park.
Georgia (14-19, 4-8 SEC) grabbed the lead in the bottom of the second inning on an Adam Sasser sacrifice fly that plated Michael Curry, who singled then reached third after a walk and a sacrifice bunt.
Curry (3-for-3) accounted for three of Georgia's four hits on the day. The sophomore from Gainesville, Ga. reached base safely four times as he tallied a trio of singles and a walk.
Missouri (23-9, 6-6 SEC) jumped on top 3-1 in the top of the fourth inning when right fielder Trey Harris hit a three-run home run that landed in the left field bullpen. The Tigers broke the game open in the eighth with three runs, providing enough cushion to seal the series win.
Ryan Avidano tossed three scoreless innings in relief with five strikeouts after Georgia starter Chase Adkins (4-3) departed in the fourth. The Tigers' starter Bryce Montes De Oca (3-1) limited the Bulldogs to one run on two hits over six innings to earn the win. Mizzou's T.J. Sikkema recorded a three-inning save, while yielding two hits and fanning three batters.
Dawg Tracks
- Adam Sasser's sacrifice fly in the second inning marked his second of the year and his seventh RBI.

- Trey Logan pinch hit in the ninth inning and hit a double, his second, of the season.
Coach's Corner
Ike Cousins Head Coach Scott Stricklin
Opening statement...
"We have been disappointing offensively in the last two games. We had four hits on the day and [Michael] Curry had three of them plus Trey's [Logan] pinch-hit double in the ninth. We had a few guys in scoring position but didn't get them in. We need to improve on our approach in those situations."
On playing at SunTrust Park...
"It is a beautiful park. They did a great job building it and the Braves are lucky to now call it home."
On Mizzou's Trey Harris...
"He is a great player. Chase Adkins hit a wall in the fourth and on a 2-0 count, Harris put a good swing on it. He hit well against us this series."
