ATHENS, Ga. -Former Georgia men's tennis star John Isner, who is currently leading the United States against Australia in first round action of the Davis Cup this weekend, recently sat down with Tennis Channel Everywhere to discuss his mother's battle with cancer.

Isner's mother, Karen, was diagnosed with colon cancer during his freshman season at Georgia and fought several years to beat the disease. Karen has been cancer free for seven years.
