Armbrister Paces Bahamas Past St. Vincent And The Grenadines

TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands --- Shenea Armbrister, an incoming transfer for the Georgia Lady Bulldogs, scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Bahamas to a 62-54 win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines in day two of the preliminary round of the Caribbean Basketball Confederation Championship on Tuesday.

Armbrister also chipped in eight rebounds, five steals and two assists in 28 minutes of playing time. She connected on 6-of-21 shots from the field, including 4-of-10 3-point attempts.

In the other Group A game on Tuesday, the Virgin Islands defeated Antigua, 94-31. The Bahamas is now 2-0 and atop the Group A standings entering the final game of pool play against Antigua tomorrow at 4:15 ET. Live scoring updates can be found here.

Armbrister, a native Nassau, will be a junior with the Lady Bulldogs this season. She was a two-time, third-team All-American for Darton State College in Albany, Ga., in 2014 and 2015.
