Armbrister, Robinson Play Internationally

TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands --- Shenea Armbrister, who will join the Georgia Lady Bulldogs for the 2015-16 season, led the Bahamas to a 74-39 victory over Antigua in the final day of the preliminary round in the Caribbean Basketball Confederation Championship on Wednesday.
While only playing 16 minutes, Armbrister still managed to put up a team-high 12 points and grab two rebounds. She connected on 5-of-14 shots from the field, including 2-of-6 3-point attempts.
Today concludes the preliminary rounds of the CBC Championship. The undefeated Bahamas team has earned a Group A No. 1 seed in the semifinals and will take on the No. 2 seed from group B -- either Barbados or the British Virgin Islands based on Tuesday final game -- at 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Through three Group A games, Armbrister is averaging 16.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.Armbrister, who is a native Nassau, will be a junior with Georgia this season season. She will join the Lady Bulldogs after being a two-time, third-team All-American for Darton State College in Albany, Ga., in 2014 and 2015.
Also on Thursday, former Lady Bulldog Angel Robinson will open play at the 2015 EuroBasket Women's Championship. Robinson recently became a naturalized citizen of Montenegro and is representing that country instead of playing with the WNBA's Seattle Storm this season. Montenegro will face the Czech Republic at 11 a.m. ET.
