Lady Bulldog Game Time Changed
March 04, 2015 | Women's Basketball
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --- The schedule for Thursday's second-round games of the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament at Verizon Arena, including Georgia's matchup with Missouri, has been altered due to winter weather in the area.
The Lady Bulldogs and Tigers were originally scheduled to play at 7 p.m. ET; however, that game is now slated for approximately 6 p.m. ET.
The original tournament schedule called for a break after the first two games of the day, creating two sessions of two games each. The new schedule will feature four games played consecutively with the opening game between Arkansas and Ole Miss tipping off at 1 p.m. ET followed by games at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET (Auburn vs. Texas A&M), 6 p.m. ET (Georgia vs. Missouri) and 8:30 p.m. ET (Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky).
The change is being made in order to facilitate an earlier departure from the arena for teams and fans in the final two games of the day due to weather conditions. A cold rain throughout much of the day Wednesday transitioned into sleet at approximately 5:30 p.m. The precipitation is expected to change to snow overnight. All told, 4-6 inches of accumulation is expected in Little Rock.
