Here is the second installment of “Dawg Details.”  These hope to offer fans and track and field followers a glimpse at some of our most outstanding Bulldogs in the field, on the track and off.

This Q&A features Charles Grethen, who is a senior from Tuntange, Luxembourg (a small country bordered by Belgium, Germany and France).  Grethen has finished three times in the top three at the SEC Championships in the 800-meter run.  He arrived in Athens after starting his collegiate career at Texas State in 2012.

Who was the first person you met at UGA?  How?

CG:  (Former Bulldog) Daniel Grass is the first person I met.  I met up with him on my official visit at Transmet, which is a restaurant downtown that is still to this day one of my favorites restaurants in Athens.  He was my training partner when I was a sophomore and still a good friend.

What do you look forward most to about the future?

CG:  I look forward to running fast times and to where life takes me after college!

If your life was a movie, what actor would play the starring role, and why?

CG:  People tell me that I look like Dave Franco, so I'll go with him.

Are you currently hooked on a TV series?  If so, what is it?

CG:  House!  I hadn't watched it for a while but then I started watching it again over Christmas break on Netflix and have been hooked on it ever since.

What’s the biggest difference between Georgia/the U.S. and Luxembourg?

CG:  The size is definitely the biggest difference between the two.  In one hour, you can get anywhere in the country (Luxembourg), that's how small it is.  The food is also very different.  There are barely any fast food places or restaurant chains over there.  It's mostly just small family-owned restaurants.  Despite the differences, I feel like home in both places.

What’s your spirit animal?

CG: Leopard would be my spirit animal.

If you could play any other sport, what would it be and why?

CG: I would be a cyclist or triathlete.  I used to compete in triathlons and used to be into road-biking a lot until I was 17.

What album can you turn on and listen to all the way through?

CG: I would say I can turn on Eminem – Recovery and let it roll all the way through.

What was the first CD you ever bought?

CG: I can't remember what was the first. That has been way too long.

Describe your ideal vacation.

CG:  Winter: Somewhere in the mountains where I can snowboard would be where I vacation.  Summer: I would vacation on a nice beach where I can do some watersports.
