Notes
UNDEFEATED LAST WEEK
The Bulldogs went undefeated last weekend at the Bulldog Invitational. With the wins, Georgia was one of just three SEC teams to have an unblemished week two record. Additionally, Georgia did not give up a set, making it the only SEC school that won each of its matches 3-0.
EFFICIENT
The Bulldogs had three players hit over .300 last weekend at the Bulldog Invitational. Lauren Teknipp led the way with a .407 efficiency, followed by Desiree McCray who hit .333. Amanda Dachs rounded out the .300+ hitter by hitting .303.
ACE!
The Bulldogs composure at the service line has continued through the six matches. Georgia has a total of 32 aces on the year, led by Tirah Le'au with 13 aces. Teknipp follows with six aces. As a team, the Bulldogs are second in the SEC in aces.
UNDER .200
Georgia has held each of its opponents this season to a sub .200 attack percentage. The Bulldogs opened the season against Fordham and held the Rams to a -.015 hitting percentage. Since then, the highest attack percentage by an opponent was .183 by San Francisco. Last weekend, Georgia held its opponents to a .131, .144 and .181 efficiency, respectively. It marks the first time in the Stemke era and the first time since 2010 that Georgia has held each of its first six opponents to a sub .200 attack percentage.
BLOCKED
Georgia has been a force at the net defensively through six matches, totaling 62 blocks for an average of 2.95 blocks per set, both of which rank second in the SEC. That's an increase from last season when the Bulldogs tallied 45 blocks as a team and averaged 2.50 blocks per set. McCray leads the team in blocks with 27, followed by Jasmine Eatmon who has 21.
