Payton Anderson Signs with Georgia Equestrian

ATHENS, Ga. - Head Coach Meghan Boenig has announced that Payton Anderson will sign a National Letter of Intent to ride for the Georgia equestrian team. Anderson will ride as a member of the Western squad, specializing in Horsemanship.

"I am thrilled to have Payton Anderson join our western squad in the fall," Associated Head Coach Mary Meneely said. "Payton has everything a coach is looking for in her academics, athleticism, and a fabulous attitude! Welcome to the family Payton!"

Anderson, a native of Monroe, Washington, brings 13 years of experience with her to Athens. She was a semifinalist at the 2013 AQHYA Youth World Show in Youth Horsemanship and has multiple youth all-around and regional championships under her belt.

In addition to her riding career, Anderson was a member of the volleyball team at Monroe High School. She also was named to the Honor Roll in each of her semesters at Monroe, named to the Dean's List at Cascadia Community College and volunteered with the Running Start Program.

Anderson is the daughter of Dave and Lori Anderson and has three siblings: Sidney (15), Leah (12) and Devin (10).
