LAS VEGAS --- The No. 5-ranked Georgia men's golf team wound up in sixth place in the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters on Sunday.

The Bulldogs posted a final-round 1-over 289 to finish at 36-over 900 for the event. Tournament host UNLV won the title at 22-over 886.

Senior Joey Garber, the nation's top-rated player, paced the Bulldogs on Sunday with a 3-under 69. Sophomore Lee McCoy signed for a 1-under 71, followed by senior Keith Mitchell at 1-over 73 and freshman Greyson Sigg at 3-over 75. Garber came in 17th individually with a total of 7-over 223, six shots in back of Stanford's Patrick Rodgers (217). Cromie wound up at 9-over 225, while McCoy and Mitchell finished at 12-over 228, and Sigg came in at 18-over 234.

"We got better every day, so I'm pleased by the way we kept plugging," said Coach Chris Haack, noting that Georgia posted rounds of 310-301-289. "Every tournament is part of the process for us, so we'll build off of this and get ready for the next one."

The Bulldogs will return to action March 22-23 in the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.
