Tickets On Sale For Circle Of Honor Gala

ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia Athletic Association's Circle of Honor Gala will be held Friday, April 11, in the Tate Student Center's Grand Hall.
The black-tie optional gala will open with the program at 6:30 p.m., followed by the dinner celebration at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are available for $75 per person or $1,000 for a table. Table sponsors receive eight seats at a table for 10 with two UGA Athletic Association representatives at the table as well as sponsorship signage on the table and a company listing in the event program.
To reserve tickets or to ask any additional questions, call (706) 542-6792 or email cohrsvp@sports.uga.edu. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, March 28. Seating is limited.
Football player Pat Dye, gymnast Lori Strong and tennis player Marissa Catlin will formally be inducted into the Circle of Honor. The Circle of Honor is the UGA Athletic Association's all-sports recognition program which is designed to recognize and pay tribute to extraordinary student-athletes and coaches who, by their performance and conduct, have brought honor to the University and themselves, and who by their actions have contributed to the tradition of the Georgia Bulldogs. The criteria also stipulates that each recipient has earned his or her academic degree.
In addition, David Boyd will receive the Bill Hartman Award, Alice and John Sands will be recognized as Circle of Distinction recipients, football's Aaron Murray will be cited for his National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award, tennis' Maho Kowase will be honored for winning the NCAA Sportsmanship Award, and Allison Schmitt will be recognized for winning the Honda Sports Award for swimming.
Chuck Dowdle will serve as the event's master of ceremonies.
