Madison Newman Signs with Georgia Equestrian

ATHENS, Ga.- Head Coach Meghan Boenig has announced that Madison Newman has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her riding career as a member of the Georgia equestrian team beginning in 2015-16. Newman is the daughter of Joseph and Sydney Norick.

“Madison is such a strong and versatile rider,” said Hunt Seat coach Lisa Anderson. “She has both the talent to ride beautifully and the experience and intelligence to get along with the wide range of horses we encounter in our sport. We are very excited to have her at Georgia.”

The Wellington, Fla. native has spent much of the last three years riding with renowned international Grand Prix trainer Todd Minikus. Her accomplishments include the 2014 Level 4 Champion and with many top placings in the Jr. Jumper classes at HITS Saugerties. In 2013, Newman won the USEF Talent Search at OSF and was crowned as the Jr. Jumpers Champion at HITS Saugerties. In 2012, she was a Top 5 Qualifier for THIS Medal. Newman also runs cross-country at Laurel Spring School in Wellington.
