ATHENS, Ga. --- We know you're just as excited as we are about the start of the 2013 Georgia football season, and we have an announcement to make: we are launching a social media countdown promoting the 25 days leading up to the opener vs. Clemson. The first day of the countdown - 25 days to go - will be this Tues., Aug. 6.
But here's the kicker - the countdown is dependent on YOU, the fan! Beginning Tuesday and running through each of the 25 days before the game, we will choose the best fan-submitted photo that shows you "Committing To The G." Be as creative as you can, and show us just what you're doing to show your commitment! To participate, email your photo to CommitToTheG@gmail.com (please include your name and hometown!). Then check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram each day starting Tuesday to see if your photo is the day's winner!
We also encourage you to share your favorite photos on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #CommitToTheG and we'll retweet our favorites!
Fifth-ranked Georgia opens the season at eighth-ranked Clemson (#UGAvsCLEM) on Aug. 31. Kickoff is slated for 8:00 p.m., and the game will be televised on ABC.
