ATHENS-----The University of Georgia baseball team's regular season finale against Florida on Saturday, May 18 will be televised by WSB-TV Channel 2 in high definition.

This is the latest addition to the 2013 Bulldogs television schedule, and the first game on Channel 2 this season. The telecast will start at 2 p.m. and will include coverage of the Bulldogs holding their annual Senior Day recognition.

Veteran sports announcers Bob Neal and Chuck Dowdle will handle the play-by-play duties with Channel 2 Sports director Zach Klein reporting from the field.

“We are pleased to have this opportunity to showcase Bulldogs baseball to a broader audience as part of our overall relationship with UGA” said Art Rogers, WSB-TV Director of Programming. “It fits nicely with our Bulldogs Game Day/ Game Week series that gives viewers a greater perspective on all that goes on in UGA Athletics.”

Channel 2’s last Bulldogs telecast was on March 25, 2011 when the Bulldogs faced then ninth-ranked LSU in their SEC home opener. That broadcast drew more viewers than the NCAA Sweet 16 matchup between UNC and Marquette.

Georgia's 2013 schedule features 17 games slated for cable television, however three have been rained out this year. The Bulldogs begin a three-game series at 15th-ranked South Carolina Friday at 7 p.m. All three games of the series will be televised (SportSouth Friday and Sunday; CSS on Saturday) as well as available on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network from IMG College.
