ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 9/10 University of Georgia softball team returns to the friendly confines of Jack Turner Stadium on Wednesday evening as it hosts the Georgia Southern Eagles in a midweek non-conference game. The Bulldogs enter the meeting with a 27-5 record and are coming off a sweep of Southeastern Conference rival Ole Miss. The Eagles are 20-10 on the year and own a 6-0 mark in Southern Conference play.

Quick Notes
History Lesson: Georgia and Georgia Southern enter this weekend having met 23 times on the diamond. The Bulldogs lead the series 22-1, with its last win coming in 2011 when UGA took a 4-1 win over the Eagles.
A Look Back: Georgia picked up its first Southeastern Conference sweep of the season when it took three games from the Ole Miss Rebels last weekend. The Bulldogs continued their streak of not losing a series to the Rebs and extended their win streak against Ole Miss to 25 games. The streak dates back to 2002.
Complete Game Shutout: Erin Arevalo picked up a fifth, solo complete game shutout of the season with her 8-0 win over Ole miss on Sunday. Arevalo has also combined for two shutouts, bringing her season-total to seven. Arevalo also got the win in Friday's game. The senior is now 12-2 on the season and owns an ERA of just 1.15.
Multiple Home Runs: After having its first two home run game since the Cathedral City Classic against Georgia State, the Bulldogs have hit at least two home runs in the past three games, including a four-home run attack at Ole Miss on Saturday.
Razey With the HR: Ashley Razey hit three home runs last weekend against Ole Miss, raising her batting average to .238 on the year and her slugging percentage of .635, second on the team. Of Razey's 15 hits this season, eight have gone for extra bases, including eight home runs. Her eight home runs on the season is good for second on the team.
