ATHENS, Ga. --- The 25th-ranked Georgia men's golf team will compete in its final tournament of the regular season this weekend at the Linger Longer Invitational.

The Bulldogs will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday at the Great Waters Course at Reynolds Plantation in Eatonton. The Bulldogs will tee off at 9:09 a.m. with their counterparts from Oklahoma (which is coached by ex-Bulldog Ryan Hybl) and Liberty. Great Waters has a par-72, 7,073-yard layout.

Georgia will use a lineup of junior T.J. Mitchell, sophomores Brian Carter, Joey Garber and Keith Mitchell, and freshman Nicholas Reach. The Bulldogs also will have junior Michael Cromie and freshmen Sam Straka and Sepp Straka playing as individuals, meaning their scores will not affect the team total.

Keith Mitchell leads the Bulldogs with a scoring average of 71.33. Reach is next at 72.05 and has logged five consecutive rounds under par.

After the Linger Longer Invitational, Georgia will return to action April 20-22 in the SEC Championships on St. Simons Island. The Bulldogs then will host an NCAA Regional May 17-19 and must be one of the top five teams in the regional to advance to the NCAA Championships May 29-June 3 in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

"We've had some solid rounds this spring, and we're definitely looking for some more this weekend," Georgia coach Chris Haack said. "We've always enjoyed going to Great Waters, and we're excited about the chance to tee it up down there. It's a pretty important time of the year for us. Having eight guys playing gives us a chance to evaluate the roster in a tournament setting one more time before the championships run."

Joining the Bulldogs at Great Waters will be Alabama, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Mercer, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and South Alabama.
