Bulldogs Edged By Southern Cal In Stanford Classic

MONTEREY, Calif. --- The Georgia men's golf team dropped a 12.5-11.5 decision to Southern Cal in the final round of the Stanford Classic on Tuesday at Cypress Point.
The fourth-seeded Bulldogs got four points each from junior Joey Garber and freshman Lee McCoy against the No. 7 seed Trojans. Senior T.J. Mitchell picked up the other 3.5 points for the Bulldogs.
Georgia went 1-2 in its three matches in the Stanford Classic. The Bulldogs dropped an 8.5-3.5 decision to fourth-seeded UCLA in a four-ball best ball, then knocked off No. 8 seed Michigan 8-4 in foursomes.
