ATHENS --- Georgia Bulldog basketball coach Mark Fox will host his third annual coaches' clinic on Saturday, October 22 at the Stegeman Coliseum Training Facility.
Scholastic basketball coaches from all levels are invited to register and attend the day-long clinic. The schedule includes lectures by members of the Bulldog coaching staff, as well as demonstrations that revolve around two of Georgia's pre-season practices that day.
"Our staff is excited to offer the clinic as an opportunity meet and get to know as many coaches as possible," Fox said. "We are always looking to share philosophies and exchange ideas. The clinic is a terrific setting in which to see many of the coaches around Georgia and learn how we all teach the game of basketball."
The Georgia program, now in its third season with Fox at the helm, has made significant strides of improvement. Most recently, Georgia in 2011 earned its first at-large NCAA Tournament berth in eight years and posted its first 20-victory season in nine seasons with a 21-12 mark. Fox had previously guided the University of Nevada program to five straight seasons of at least 21 wins each, four straight Western Athletic Conference titles and three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
Cost for the clinic is $15, which includes lunch.
