ATHENS, Ga. --- Georgia's Lady Bulldogs will have 10 of their 16 Southeastern Conference regular-season outings televised during the 2011-12 season. The league office released the TV slate on Thursday.
"We've been fortunate to be one of the most televised programs in the nation over the years and are excited that we'll have a double-digit number of our SEC games on TV this season," head coach Andy Landers said. "Television is a tremendous way to expose our program and brand of basketball, even more so now that being televised means those games generally show up worldwide on the internet."
Georgia will appear nationally on the ESPN family networks three times. The Lady Bulldogs' home dates against Tennessee (Jan. 29) and LSU (Feb. 26) will air on ESPN2. Times for those contests were originally "TBA" but have now been set for 5 p.m. ET. Georgia's game at Florida on Feb. 19 will be shown on ESPNU.
CSS will air four road games - at Tennessee on Jan. 5, at Auburn on Jan. 8, at Ole Miss on Jan. 22 and at Vanderbilt on Jan. 26.
Games at Alabama on Feb. 5 and at South Carolina on Feb. 16 will be televised on Sports South.
Rounding out the Lady Bulldogs' SEC TV slate is an appearance on the SEC Network against Vanderbilt in Athens on Feb. 12.
Television did dictate the change in previously announced game times for three road games. At Auburn will now begin at 2 p.m. ET, at Vanderbilt will now tip at 9 p.m. ET and at Florida will start at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Additional non-conference televised games are expected to be added as well in the coming weeks.
