ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia volleyball program continues its spring semester training this weekend with a second trip to North Carolina.
Last week, the Bulldogs traveled to Wilmington, N.C., hometown of senior setter Kathleen Gates, to train and bond as a team over Spring Break. Georgia grew as a team over the trip as they cooked each other meals and participated in the "Bulldog Olympics" which included six events - bocce ball, horse, paddle ball, ping pong, crazy eights and naming U.S. capitals. The Spring Break trip also included beach and gym training and was capped with a 3-0 win in a match with East Carolina.
This weekend, the Bulldogs return to North Carolina travelling to Chapel Hill where they will continue to develop their skills and build the foundation for the 2011 fall season. This trip will include three more spring matches on Saturday against Duke, UNC and Charlotte.
