Caldwell-Pope Named to McDonald's All-America Team

ATHENS ----- University of Georgia basketball signee Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was named this week to the 2011 McDonald's High School All-America team, as announced by the McDonald's Corporation on its annual selection show on ESPNU.
All 24 appointees will participate in the annual McDonald's All-American Game, to be played March 30 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
"I'm really happy for Kentavious because he is truly a great kid and he comes from a great family," Georgia coach Mark Fox said. "He's a very talented young man who has worked extremely hard for everything he has achieved. He's a very deserving member of that team."
Caldwell-Pope, a 6-6 guard from Greenville, Ga., is currently a senior at Greenville High School, where he has built a reputation as one of the nation's top backcourt scorers. He is rated as the third-best shooting guard in the country and the 11th-best prospect overall by Rivals.com recruiting analysis.
