The University of Georgia Athletic Association and ISP Georgia Sports Properties is proud to launch a new web design and a new partnership with CBS College Sports for the official website of the Georgia Bulldogs, georgiadogs.com.

The new georgiadogs.com design will offer the same great content in a cleaner, easier to navigate package.

"We hope that fans have a great new experience and interaction with the website," said Director of Online Content Rick Starratt. "Our main initiative when negotiating for a new website provider was a better user experience. We believe CBS College Sports is going to offer our fans the best user experience possible. The website should load faster, work on more computers and the video player should have fewer problems."

"Having redesigned the website last summer, we didn't want to wipe the slate clean. We wanted to enhance what worked and change or improve what didn't," Starratt continued. "We want to be the number one source Georgia Bulldogs fans turn to for their news, information and entertainment regarding Georgia Athletics. That starts with an easy-to-use website."

MULTIMEDIA:

Former GXtra subscribers will notice changes as well. Georgiadogs.com introduces a new upgraded premium subscription service called GTV. Subscribers will be familiar with all of the great live audio/video content they've become used to, presented in a new, clean, easy-to-use interface. The new video platform, which will premiere in a couple of weeks, will make it easier for all fans to watch archived content as well as live events.

"We had some users complain about having trouble viewing video content and that was something that was very troubling to us," Starratt said. "One of our priorities was finding a video solution that made the video content available to all users and CBS College Sports has a good history with their video operations. We are excited for their new video platform which promises to make Georgia fans very happy."

Current subscribers will receive an email shortly informing them how to transfer their GXtra subscription over to GTV. New subscribers will also learn how to sign up and take advantage of the great premium audio and video programming GTV has to offer.

The new video platform, which will be launched in a couple of weeks, will make video playback and search much easier. The navigation will look more like the very popular YouTube.

LIVE EVENT TRACKING:

Once the events begin, users will be able to follow along with the games using CBS College Sports' GameTracker, a great live event tracker giving the stats and play by play of most sports Georgia competes in.

MOBILE:

Fans can also get excited about a new mobile initiative. Georgiadogs.com will soon launch new mobile looks including an improved WAP site and mobile applications. GTV subscribers can look forward to be able to listen to the games using their mobile device. Smart phone users will have the ability to download apps to their phones.
