Athens Weather Update: Friday, March 21

NCAA Softball
UPDATE: Game has started.
Play in the 2010 NCAA Athens Softball Regional has been delayed due to inclement weather.
In game one of the regional, Florida State defeated Radford, 10-1, in five innings.
The inclement weather then entered the Athens area during warmups for game two between Georgia and Elon. The storm cell produced lightning along with heavy rains. First pitch between the Bulldogs and Phoenix is now projected for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The weather situation will be continuously monitored and any further updates will be posted here on www.georgiadogs.com and on www.twitter.com/UGAsoftball as soon as they are available.
NCAA Tennis
Three matches have been completed in the Men's Round of 16 (Ohio State def. Wisconsin, 4-0; USC def. Kentucky, 4-0; Virginia def. Duke 4-0).
The Georgia-Florida and Oklahoma-Texas matches are scheduled to be played outdoors only at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
UCLA currently leads Stanford 3-1 at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Facility in Athens. The Tennessee-Louisville match will follow the Stanford-UCLA match indoors in Athens.
The Texas A&M-Baylor match will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at the Racquet Club of the South in Norcross, Ga.

UPDATE: Game has started.
Due to heavy rains in the Athens, Ga., area on Friday, the second game of the Southeastern Conference series with Kentucky and Georgia, is currently in a rain delay at Foley Field.
The rain is estimated to end around 6:30 p.m. ET, with a possible starting time after 7 p.m. ET.
