Georgia Golfers Place 12th In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS --- The 13th-ranked Georgia men’s golf team came in 12th on Sunday at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters.
The Bulldogs carded a final-round 27-over-par 315 to wind up at 71-over 935. Team co-honors went to host UNLV and UCLA, both of which finished at 35-over 899.
Russell Henley paced the Bulldogs on Sunday with a 3-over 75. T.J. Mitchell followed at 4-over 76, while Harris English signed for a 9-over 81, and Rob Bennett and Bryden Macpherson each shot an 11-over 83.
English wound up at 18-over 234, 15 shots behind medalist Jesper Kennegard of Arizona State (219). Henley checked in at 20-over 236, while Bennett finished at 21-over 237, and Mitchell ended up at 22-over 238 and Macpherson finished at 28-over 244.
Georgia will return to action March 26-28 at the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro.
